Sensors Cleaning

Valeo has developed a sensor cleaning and clearing offer, with a set of solutions for all sensors, all weather and all seasons. We offer a unique range of solutions to serve all the autonomous cars needs. We have also developed a system expertise enabling us to implement, for fully autonomous cars, not only a simple cleaning solution, but also a complex system embarking more than 10 sensors while staying efficient in the liquid management. POD : Valeo’s unique portfolio of expertise enables us to integrate the cleaning system on a POD (sometime called Roof-module) configuration that is used by most Automated Vehicle Level 5 developers. The POD encompasses Cleaning and Clearing, to ensure all weather use capability and no disruption to a fully autonomous vehicle. Centricam : The centrifugal force keeps the camera clear from rain or snow at all times without the use of any fluids. Coupled with a fixed nozzle enables further cleaning of bugs, mud, salt or other while reducing the consumption of fluid. Electrovalve : The electrovalve is specifically designed to ensure an optimization of the whole cleaning system efficiency by simplifying the fluid distribution. In addition to that, it avoids additional, heavy and expensive pumps in large systems and it is stackable for an easy integration. Cleaning LiDAR : The first completely dedicated cleaning system for LiDAR sensors and engineered with pedestrian protection in mind. The solution enables a stable performance at speeds up to 140 km/h. It can either be an Integrated cap (on ramp) or a retractable trap. The optional Defrosting from start-up at -20°C takes 3mn 40 sec
